From Right:Juliette Hart, Mandy Wallace, Cyndie Johnson
In Back: Steve Tousignant, Adam Berman
President: Juliette Hart, Colorado State University

Juliette is a San Francisco native whose roots run deep in the Bay Area of California. She received her BS in Biology from St. Mary’s College of California then spent subsequent years focusing on retail business management and consumer marketing for market leaders like Time, Inc., Williams-Sonoma Inc. corporate, and Gap Inc. corporate. Knowing she would get back “to the animals,” Juliette was accepted into the PVM 2011 class at Colorado State University, ditched the corporate life, and happily swapped khakis for scrubs. She is excited to be part of an enthusiastic organization fostering students' personal and professional goals.

Vice President: Steve Tousignant, University of Minnesota

Steve Tousignant is in the class of 2011 at the University of Minnesota. He completed his undergraduate requirements for the vet school at the U of MN as well. Business is something that has always interested Steve and so the VBMA seemed to be a natural fit. He feels that there is a lack of professional development courses in veterinary colleges around the country and is excited to help students in chapters around the country provide opportunities to learn some of these important skills. Steve’s interests in medicine lie in nutrition, dermatology and behavior, and he hopes to settle down in a progressive small animal clinic somewhere in Minnesota. Outside of school you’ll be likely to find Steve fishing, camping, canoeing, hiking, sailing or skiing – depending on the season.

Cyndie Johnson received her undergraduate degree at the College of William and Mary with dual majors in Biology and Marketing. On the recommendation of an adviser, she created a veterinary business independent study that combined her two interests and been hooked on veterinary business ever since. After joining the class of 2011 at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech, she expanded her business horizons through summer externships with Dr. Jim Wilson and Dr. Charlotte Lacroix. Her veterinary interests outside of business lie in animal disaster preparedness and small animal (& sometimes small ruminant) medicine. Mandy received her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Mississippi State University. During her time there, she was involved with the MSU Student Government and her sorority, Chi Omega. She has been in love with the VBMA ever since! Her veterinary interests include small animal neurology and surgery. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing with her beagle mix, Izzy, and working out.
